A bit about us.

Founded in 1925, we have a proud tradition of creating strong and sustainable communities. Today we provide services to more than 8,000 households in the south of England.

We began building affordable homes for rent in 1925 - our history makes interesting reading! We are a non-profit making organisation run by a management board and now have over 6,000 properties including sheltered housing for the elderly and shared ownership houses and flats.

We also manage homes owned by Portal Housing Association. Like us, Portal is part of Radian. If you are on the housing waiting list, providing you are eligible you will automatically be considered for suitable Portal vacancies when your turn is reached provided. Unlike Swaythling, Portal is a charitable housing association and this means they can only house people whose incomes do not go above a certain level.
